Berry Basket Meeting
September 11, 2019 @ 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Please remember to bring your completed patriotic block(s) made from the fabric Geri Wolf handed out. These blocks will be used to make soldier quilts, so your sewing skills will be needed!
Bring your always-willing-to-have-fun attitude along with a large eye sharp-tip needle (crewel needle of a size to fit 2 strands of 6 strand floss) and a small pair of scissors or snips. You will hand embroider already-fused white stars to a 7-inch blue background square using the buttonhole stitch. If you already know how to do the buttonhole stitch, great! If you don’t know the buttonhole stitch, we will have written directions and will teach you – it is easy to learn! The program committee will provide all materials and will have some embroidery needles available for you to use.
Also during the meeting, we will have an extended patriotic show-and-tell. Please bring your lovely patriotic quilts, wall hangings, placemats, table runners, and other items to show us your creativity!
