Kawandi Quilting

Jen Strauser will be on deck Wednesday night with her presentation on Kawandi quilting. As I understand this it is quilting from the outside in using lots and lots of scraps of many kinds of fabric.

Discussion of the traditions of Kawandi Quilting in India, along with samples of Indian Kawandi. Then we I’ll talk about my introduction into Kawandi, and what make it so special to me. I will have about a dozen Kawandi I have made myself. I’ll talk about what Kawandi has done for me, and how I use my experience to give back to the community that has inspired me.
