Program – A Tale of Two Tales

For our February meeting, the presentation of “A TALE OF TWO TAILS AND THEN SOME” will be by our very own guild member Cherie Casey. As our treasurer, she can not only calculate every guild red cent and record it in triplicate – but lives with her husband and many cats. Now you might think 3 or 4 would be many by most standards; Cherie has 8! She proudly shared some photos, and I would say a few look alike and I honestly can’t tell one from the other, but they all have names and stories! Cherie has been quilting since 1991: her mom taught her to sew in 1960 and she made clothes. In ‘91 Cherie saw a quilt in a craft magazine and thought if she knew how to sew, she’d make it! “It wasn’t very good.” she tells me, but Cherie practiced with star blocks creating pillows, and in 2002 she made her first CAT wall hanging and then a quilt.
